We only use products that are enviromentally friendly and have never been tested on animals. This includes the products we sell: Redken, Pureology, and our new makeup line, Glo Minerals. Welcome to Artistic Hair Salon, LLC. Thank you for taking the time to read about our culture and staff.

Artistic Hair Salon, LLC is owned by Leah Rookey. Her vision and passion for running an independent salon has led to her success today. Artistic Hair Salon, LLC has a relationship with Summit Salons, whose mission is "to keep the independent salon alive by providing services to all facets of the beauty industry; including salons & day spas to promote growth and prosperity." Artistic Hair Salon, LLC is a level salon which means the pricing structure of the salon is determined by the level of experience and education of our staff.

Leah Rookey has an expansive education that spans 2 continents, 3 countries and over a dozen American cities. She has been educated in London, Paris and a host of American cities, including San Diego, New York City, Dallas, Phoenix, Miami and many more. She has also been trained in Aveda cutting, coloring and makeup, as well as Sasoon's cutting, Tony & Guy cutting, and Redken color. Next time you are at the salon take a look at the back wall that is highly decorated with awards and certifications to see for yourself. There is comfort in knowing that you are receiving first class service when stepping through the doors of the Artistic Hair Salon.

Shayna Golet graduated with a degree in business marketing from Central Connecticut State University before deciding to persue her real passion for hair styling. She graduated from Brio Academy in the summer of 2010. She has experience with Wella coloring techniques, as well as Paul Mitchell, and Sebastian cutting and styling techniques. She enjoys attending seminars to further her education, including recent ones taught by Nick Arrojo in New York City, and loves to keep up with the newest styles and trends in hair styling.
